Christian Education

Our mission is to oversee all teaching ministry components to ensure they are biblically accurate, doctrinally sound, and in accordance with the Vision, to the end that our members are growing spiritually and moving through pew progression.

To introduce people to Jesus Christ and encourage the cultivation of a personal relation- ship with Him by providing a nurturing atmosphere of accountability through biblical instruction, opportunities to share with others.

To communicate biblical truths through a Bible-centered training process that is designed to build a strong biblical foundation for Christian growth and development.

To provide a short term, intense bible-based community outreach program for the entire family.

To encourage and challenge women to become Virtuous women through discipleship, development and duplication.

To develop men into spiritually mature leaders through discipleship, fellowship and accountability.

To minister to married couples with emphasis on building an intimate relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ to foster strong, healthy marriages.

A mid-week Bible study that will challenge, encourage and motivate you in your Christian walk.

To reach, teach, disciple and develop young adults holistically.

Congregational Care

Our mission is to reach out the entire church under the leadership of the Holy Spirit for the purpose of tracking members for congregational care. 

To track new members from their decision (to join) to discipleship classes.

To pray for the concerns of our congregation, the Body of Christ, our nation, nations of the world and that the un-saved to come to Christ.

Is designed to serve those who are in need. These avenues of service are carried out in a spirit of Christ to help individuals and families within and beyond 16th Street Baptist Church.

Goal is to minister to the members/families of 16th Street through encouragement and prayer and find assurance through the support of 16th Street Church Family.

The ministry’s purpose is to reflect compassion, empathy, and love in a Christ like manner to the sick the vulnerable, and poor within our congregation and communities. Our mission is to promote awareness and education about physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. 

Our ministry members have a very diverse backgrounds including nursing, mental health, case management, and hospice just to name a few.

We invite you to join us, as there is room for everyone on our team! All you need is a caring hard and a willingness to serve.

Youth Ministry

Our mission is to be guided by the church vision; to reach, teach and disciple youth in the Word of God and to equip them practical living skills.

To be a conduit through creative choreographed dance to focus the congregation on the person of Jesus Christ.

Informal setting with rap sessions, recreation and refreshments designed to introduce youth (12-17) to Jesus and help them develop an intimate relationship with Him. To worship and praise the Lord Jesus Christ through dance ages 9-18. Participants must be in a teaching ministry.

Fellowship

Our mission is to reach out the entire church under the leadership of the Holy Spirit for the purpose of tracking members for congregational care.

To teach individuals to live Godly lives and to utilize this season as a time of preparation for a mate and/or ministry.

To provide quality food service in the spirit of joy, love and patience.

To provide an environment to build relation- ships between fathers and sons as well as fellowship between brothers.
